For my masters degree a colleague and I developed an application for the smart home of today and the future. It is based on presence detection and delivers context based interfaces for the user. This leads to a new way of interaction which is unique for every smart home and matches user needs in a simple and clever way.
The goal wall has been updated for future exhibitions, therefor the interface has been redesigned and an iPad companion app has been developed. The visual language meets the requirements of the exhibition and focuses on minimalism. Changing the focus, we also have changed the logo to meet the new requirements.
Smart Delivery is a smart live routing system which reduces failed delivery attempts of parcel service providers. It dynamically changes the providers delivery route depending on the customers availability for a successful delivery. At the same time it improves the relationship bet- ween the customer and the parcel delivery service.
To demonstrate the possibilities of an interactive room we chose the application of an interactive goal wall. Like an analog one the aim of the goal wall is to hit as many targets as possible within a limited time frame or a limitation of shots. The room itself is build to make the user feel the whole soccer experience.
Project Elephant is an intelligent sensory and data processing system for event organizers and event locations and their customers. The system automatically recognizes and captures special moments of an event which are most valuable to the events guests and from which they want to keep a vivid memory.
There are plenty more projects and interesting ideas. Do you want to see some more or talk about possible cooporations? Sure, just get in touch with me and we'll work something out.
I love simple and easy to use concepts, sometimes the little things matter more then the big ones. Keeping an eye on simplicity instead of maximum functionality is the key for a great user experience! My approach is to always focus on user needs and break them down to their core to find an easy and simple solution.
During my studies I've learned that great design is subtle, clean and minimal. Great designers focus on what is necessary and use design as a guiding tool for the user, not as a distraction. Minimalism is one of the keys of my interpretation of great design and a motivation to have a change of perspective.
JOY OF USE
The combination of minimalism and simplicity results in great user experience and therefor with a happy user, who loves to interact with the product. If I don't like to use my product why should anybody else do it? Start with loving your own product and show this love to the world. It's all about joy and passion!
